Where Kid’s Art Comes to Life

You do. Imago Create begins with the idea that you bring to the table. Every Imago Create project is generated from the imagination of our creative partners, which is you,  and tailored specifically to your artistic vision for the project. Imago Kids is the only production company with professional animators, graphic designers and writers that bring the magic of animated filmmaking directly to you.

The involvement of our Creative Partners is key to the Imago brand and a major focus of what we hope to achieve. While our animators do need time to work and develop the piece, we will schedule a notes & feedback session halfway through to make sure everyone ends up with the piece they envisioned. There will also be an opportunity to Zoom with our animators and watch as they bring your creation to life.

The process typically takes 2–3 weeks.

That is up to you! Every project will begin with a creative development meeting. Our aim is to bring to life the exact drawing on the page you bring to us, but at Imago, we follow your lead on how you want your drawing to be represented. Should our creative partners be open to further exploration of their piece, that is something we welcome as we all discover together what makes our imagination soar. If you would like your creation to have wings, speak in a funny voice, or travel to a distant planet, we will make that happen.

While Imago Kids is focused on bringing children's creative visions to life, we do have a robust animation capability that works with creatives of all ages and backgrounds—from non-profits and businesses to professional artists and production companies.

Once the piece is created, it will be yours to share as you please. We will provide a link to download or share via social media, with a customized intro made especially for you. There will also be the option of having your animated short featured on our Imago Kids YouTube Channel. This channel will include Imago Kids’ own animated original shorts as well as other Imago Create projects developed by other creative partners. We hope our Imago Create projects are enjoyed by subscribers to our channel and will grow an audience over time, and that our Imago Kids are able to connect with each other and build a community of young artists that can support each other’s aspirations.

Imago Create partners with real animators and creators from across the entertainment industry to bring your project to life using the human hand, heart, soul, and mind. Our creative partners will get an inside look at how their pieces are brought to life and, hopefully in the process, unlock and inspire the artist that lives deep within us all. Imago Create is more than just an animated short—it is an experience.
And no, there is currently no app that can do what Imago Kids does. And even if there was—you don’t go to the store to buy a completed Lego project. You buy the box filled with all the bags of individual Legos. Why is that? Because the fun, the adventure, the challenge is in the hands-on building of the project. The same is true for Imago Kids. Why cheat yourself out of the fun of the adventure? As Ralph Waldo Emerson famously said, “It's not the destination, it's the journey.”

Yes! Think of it like a mini artist summer camp. Our Creative Partners will be involved in the process from beginning to end. We pull back the curtain and show the tools being used to animate each piece and the thought process behind it. We hope that by doing this, we demystify the seemingly daunting task of animation. Our team of writers, animators and designers have a deep respect for the imagination of children. We understand the profound impact that having a team of professionals listening to a child’s thoughts and dreams can have on their confidence and aim to nurture their creativity and self-assurance throughout this process.
It is our goal for every one of our creative partners to walk away from this experience not only with an amazing animation they helped to create but with a sense of pride in the development of their leadership and communication skills. We are living in a time in which the digital world is the world our children will inhabit, and building a digital resume is an important aspect of the college application process. Imago Create can assist in providing an important role in your child’s digital resume if they are at an age in which they are beginning to think about college.

Everything shared on the Imago Kids YouTube channel will be co-owned by our Creative Partners and Imago Kids based on an agreed-upon deal prior to loading the video to the channel. Creative Partners will be credited in each video with their own title card.

Generally, 5+ is a great starting point. The best time to get started is now! Awakening your child's imagination and the confidence boost of seeing their work come to life can positively impact so many areas of their life and self-esteem.
